Academic Council

Academic Council is the highest governing body of  the Termez branch of Tashkent Medical Academy.

The activities of the Academic Council are based on the principles of transparency and collective discussion of matters within its competence, implementation of the principle of the democratic nature of the management of the University. Competence of the Academic Council of the branch:

• submission to the highest collegial body of public self-government of the draft Statute, as well as changes and additions to it;
• approval of financial plans and reports;
• submission of suggestions to the Rector on the appointment and dismissal of directors of institutes, chief accountant and director of the library;
• election to office by secret election of vice-rectors, heads of departments and professors;
• approval of curricula and study plans;
• decision-making on the organization of the educational process;
• approval of the main directions of scientific research, annual reports on the scientific activity of the university and reports on the training of scientific and pedagogical staff;
• decision-making on scientific and pedagogical activities of structural units;
• decision-making on candidates for the academic titles of associate professor, professor, senior researcher;
• other issues of activity in accordance with the rules of the University.
• Decisions of the Academic Council of the branch come into force after their approval by the Rector.
