Faculty of Dentistry aims at raising dentists who have an awareness of the importance of oral health for overall well-being, who will serve as dentists with a protective understanding, who are successful at clinical decision-making and diagnosis, and who are equipped with the necessary skills to identify, heal and protect the health of patients on individual and societal scales.
The Faculty of Dentistry provides education and supports research into the protection of oral and dental health, the curing of potential diseases, the making of prosthetics, and tooth-jaw surgery.
Graduates of the Faculty can work all over the world, as its detailed curriculum is prepared in accordance with international competencies defined by the Association for Dental Education. Throughout the education process, groupwork and active educational models are embraced with a student-oriented approach.
Within the Faculty of Dentistry curriculum, the manipulation course in the first year is conducted alongside fundamental MBBS/Medicine sciences such as Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry. In the following years, the educational process continues with more oral-dental health-oriented lectures (Orthodontics, Periodontology, Endodontics, Prosthetic Dentistry), with laboratory and clinical practice facilitated alongside the theoretical lectures. Moreover, besides the knowledge and skills imparted that are unique to their fields, our students take such global awareness courses as “Time and Project Management”, “Occupational Ethics”, and “Math and Statistics” to aid their personal development.
Our graduates acquire the title of “Dentist”, and as graduates of the Faculty of Dentistry, they can work as dentists in public offices, private clinics, and hospitals.
