FACULTY OF GENERAL MBBS/MEDICINE

The main aim of the faculty is to train high-quality specialists capable to solve complex tasks and problems related to public health, disease prevention, diagnosis, and human disease treatment. The program is designed to form the professional competencies of future doctors by combining theoretical and practical pieces of training and principles of science-based medical practice in the healthcare field.

This program is implemented in the study of disciplines in English by the involvement of practicing specialists of the field to guide clinical practice and to conduct practical classes of disciplines of the classes.

The goal of the educational program is focused on training competitive specialists in the field of MBBS/Medicine, who can cope with medical activities of different kinds, solve complex tasks and problems, deal with diagnosis and treatment, and use the knowledge of the biological, social, and psychological fields. Put methods based on knowledge of the functions of organs and organ systems into practice. Gain knowledge of the impact of the ecosystem on the health of the population.

Teaching focuses on internal MBBS/Medicine, pediatrics, neurology, dermatology, infectious diseases, geriatric care, and psychiatry – including various interdisciplinary fields. The courses cover basic issues in diagnostics and treatment in individual disciplines, with the course content modified to correspond with the specific focus of each department.

The Faculty research covers a wide range of areas representing the full spectrum of clinical specialisms. Staff develops new diagnostic and treatment methods in internal MBBS/Medicine, pediatrics, neurology, dermatology, infectious diseases, geriatric care, and psychiatry – including various interdisciplinary fields.
